LogicalDOC Scanner is a Windows desktop application that connects document acquisition and PDF processing with the LogicalDOC Document Management System. It helps teams digitize paper records, prepare PDF documents, and upload or download files without switching between separate tools.
Scan Documents with WIA and TWAIN
Acquire paper documents from compatible scanners using Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) or TWAIN. Configure acquisition settings in LogicalDOC Scanner or use the device manufacturer's native interface when available.

Convert Images to PDF and Compress Scanned Documents
Convert selected images into a PDF document, including multiple scanned pages in one file. PDF preparation options include black-and-white CCITT Group 4 compression and an option to fit content to A4 page format.

Prepare scanned documents for archiving with practical PDF editing operations, directly from the desktop application.
Remove Unwanted PDF Pages
Specify a page range to remove blank, duplicate, or unnecessary pages from an existing PDF.

Upload and Download Documents from LogicalDOC
Connect the scanner application to a LogicalDOC server to upload local images and PDFs or download documents for local processing. A built-in remote folder navigator lets users choose the destination folder in the LogicalDOC repository.
The application displays the selected LogicalDOC destination path and provides feedback on completed uploads, helping users confirm where their documents are being stored.
Preview and Organize Scanned Files
Use the integrated document preview and local file tree to inspect images and PDFs before editing or uploading them. Local images and PDFs are grouped in separate folders, making it easier to select documents and manage scanning tasks.
Connect to LogicalDOC with API Key Authentication
Configure the LogicalDOC server address, API key, and application language from the connection settings. LogicalDOC Scanner 1.1 uses API key authentication, supports LogicalDOC 9.3 APIs, and checks that the Scanner feature is enabled in the server license.
